Georgia Underground Storage Tank (UST) Inspection Log

Since its passage in 2005, the Federal Energy Act has resulted in more onsite tank inspections for underground storage tank (UST) owners. The Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD) performs these onsite visits, and they use a standard inspection form to guarantee that the UST facility has the required current records on files. These might include:

• Copies of the tank registration form
• Statistical Inventory Reconciliation Record
• Automatic tank gauge report
• Month-to-month inventory records
• Corrosion protection testing report
• Rectifier logs
• Tank and line tightness test
• Automatic line leak detector test
• Assessment of UST system components and needed repairs
• Copes of paid invoices to GUST Trust Fund
